Charlie Taylor serves as Vice Chancellor of External Affairs for The ÖíÖíapp. In this role, Charlie is responsible for all state and federal governmental affairs for UA, UAH, UAB and the UAB Health System.
Prior to joining the System in January 2018, Charlie successfully managed a campaign for the Alabama Supreme Court. While in law school, he clerked for Fine Geddie & Associates in Montgomery, Protective Life Corporation in Birmingham, and Jones Walker LLP in Washington D.C.
Charlie received his J.D. from The University of Alabama School of Law in 2017 and a B.A. in Political Science from The University of Alabama in 2014. Charlie is graduate of the Leadership Tuscaloosa Class of 2019 and has been recognized by Yellowhammer News' "Power & Influence." He serves on the Board of the Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama, as well as the Board of BIO Alabama.
